Joshua Jenks a young coloured boy came from a large family,but unlike most of his friends he was lucky since his mother and father had gained employment with a local rich white family who had inherited a Whisky company in Scotland.They also had a daughter same age as Joshua but it was a son Sam Mcleod and his wife longed for and Joshua was soon taken under the wing of the Mcleod family.
With big Sams money Joshua was to receive and education the envy of most of his friends and to his surprise when the vacant job of Senator was announced Sam put his name forward and against all odds Joshua Jenks becomes Senator for Memphis and this is where his problems begin?.
